The Creative Director (CD) leads internal teams and, at times external agencies to deliver business value by leading the development and application of the highest brand and creative standards across the enterprise's most complex and expansive Retail lead creative initiatives.

The Creative Director will manage directs, leading a broader team of creatives, and setting the direction of the Creative Studio's culture, processes, and organization to maximize cultural impact and effectiveness.

The Creative Director brings a trend-forward, inspiring, team-first attitude with their direct reports and is equally comfortable pitching concepts as they are at guiding the ideas of others into brilliant and impactful creative assets. Leveraging your deep background in retail branding, graphic design, and advertising to bring the Starbucks brand to life in innovative ways while ensuring the brand shows up consistently and effectively for our customers globally.

As creative director , you will…

· Set direction and shape, and approve a wide range of omnichannel creative projects, campaigns, programs, and complex initiatives, ensuring creative execution demonstrates brand excellence.

· Drive development of dynamic and innovative creative solutions and response to briefs for specific business and marketing projects and acts as an advocate for the customer and brand while skillfully steering stakeholders and partnering with cross-functional peers to develop key strategies.

· Support a diverse portfolio of key initiatives relevant to internal Studio goals and Enterprise – wide objectives and strategically assigns creative teams – partners with Studio peers to plan and align on the annual scope of work.

· Thinks strategically about creative solutions as an advocate for the customer and brand, steering stakeholders, championing creative work while pursuing the brief's objectives, and may partner with stakeholders to inform or co-author briefs.

· Role models and coaches a positive attitude and actively creates a productive environment that promotes inclusion, collaboration, empathy, and respect — actively manages the team dynamics and proactively builds the Global Creative Studio's culture.

Qualifications - External

We’d love to hear from people with:

· Experience setting campaign creative direction and shaping omnichannel, multi-disciplinary creative projects.

· Experience leading creative processes and building consensus with clients and senior executives.

· Experiencing building creative teams, hiring/developing direct reports, and cultivating agency or in-house creative culture

· Experience in exemplifying mastery of creative, content, and design principles to guide creative projects.

· Experience interpreting current trends, competition, and culture to shape creative direction.

· Experience inspiring creatives and providing clear feedback to teams and key stakeholders

· Deep understanding of integrated marketing

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
