Job Description
The Nordstrom Warehouse Management Platform is modernizing our warehouse operations handling to expedite communications between Warehouse and Inventory systems, processing over 100M events per day. This aligns with the Nordstrom goal of keeping our customers and vendors happy.
The Data Analyst 3 role on the Supply Chain team is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support and improve decision making for our Supply Chain Operation teams. This individual should have a high degree of curiosity about the business and the skills to discover impactful insights from data. They should be able to communicate those insights in a way that builds confidence and enables decisions that drive business value.
A day in the life…
Partner with key stakeholders on data collection and analysis problems.
Apply common statistical methods, data modeling, and predictive analysis to answer strategic questions.
Provide actionable insights to business through data analytics and synthesize results into succinct presentations that aid senior management in decision making.
Collect data to analyze, execute and measure operational behavior.
Support BI reporting, database production and ad hoc analysis.
Dive deep into complex business problems and provide insights into acquisition and demand patterns through hypothesis testing.
Utilize SQL/Python/R or other relevant statistical tools for data mining and predictive analytics.
Maintain Airflow pipelines that ETL data to various sources (S3, MySQL, etc.)
Reconcile divergent demands of multiple stakeholders in a fast work environment
You’ve got this if…
Bachelor’s or master's degree in statistics, math, economics, or related quantitative discipline, or equivalent industry experience
5+ years of experience using SQL & Python programming languages
3+ years of experience with databases, SQL, data modeling, data mining, and automated engineering solutions. Familiarity with GCP Big Query and Presto is a plus
Proficiency with advanced graphics/visualization software (e.g., Microstategy, Tableau, Looker)
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and/or GCP
Experience in developing near real-time distributed data processing solutions using Kafka, Flink, Spark, Kubernetes, Airflow
Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to develop strong, relationships with a multitude of teams and stakeholders

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $89,000-$170,500 annually
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
