Job Title: Executive Assistant IIIJob Description
We are seeking an exceptionally bright and self-motivated individual to support the Director of Public Policy and the Washington Public Policy team. This role will provide administrative and substantive policy support for the Director, including background research, briefing material preparation, policy writing, calendaring, expense reconciliation, travel booking, event planning and execution, and facilitating meetings and visits with external guests. The role will also support the Washington Public Policy team on project-based matters related to external policy engagement and internal/external-facing projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and substantive policy support for the Director of Public Policy.
Conduct background research and prepare briefing materials.
Assist in policy writing and manage calendaring.
Reconcile expenses and book travel.
Plan and execute events.
Facilitate meetings and visits with external guests.
Support project-based matters related to external policy engagement and internal/external-facing projects and initiatives.
Meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple critical requests.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Work with other assistants throughout the team and across the company.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree required.
At least 5 years of experience providing executive administrative or program management support.
Experience with domestic and/or international travel coordination.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability and desire to travel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Slack, Quip, and other team collaboration tools and software.
Familiarity or interest in Seattle and Washington State local and state politics (preferred but not required).
Experience working in a trade association, law firm, or similar environment.
Experience supporting budget and expense management.
Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment.
Work Environment
The position requires superior attention to detail, high standards, writing and proofreading proficiency, and great organizational skills. The successful candidate will be able to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without knowing the total picture. This position will work with other assistants throughout the team and across the rest of the company. The dress code and facility conditions will be discussed during the interview process.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
