The Federal Systems Technology Department of the USFGMD is responsible for service supporting a charter of implementing and integrating complex systems sold worldwide to the U.S. Federal Government. As a USFGMD System Upgrade Agreement Field Service Technician (FST), you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements in both the Presale, Post Sale, and sustainment/life cycle phases of a project. These applications span the entire breadth of the U.S. Federal Government throughout the world.Job Description The U.S. Navy Global Sustainment Contract (GSC) System Upgrade Agreement (SUA) Field Service Technician (FST) will work closely with other FSTs and Engineers to design and execute on technical efforts to achieve the U.S. Navy's communications goals. The SUA FSTs will work on a daily basis to assist in developing a strategy to accomplish the various upgrades and migrations. The SUA FSTs are hands-on, in-field executing on the integrations, migrations and expansion plans that have been developed. The SUA FSTs may also be called upon to assist in preventative maintenance efforts, break-fix occurrences and even assist other programs in the enclave. Responsibilities: Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems. Demonstrate and leverage expertise in ASTRO core applications (UNC, PM, UEM, ESXi, IMW, KMF, HBSS, and PKI). Troubleshoot IP networks effectively. Administer and troubleshoot within an IT environment. Execute Motorola ASTRO upgrades. Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Support). Contribute to preventative maintenance and break-fix activities. Participate in the execution of upgrade and migration strategies. Proficiently utilize Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. Apply knowledge of Motorola ASTRO technologies, including networking, cybersecurity principles, Active Directory administration, and LMR communications. Administer and troubleshoot IP networks. Effectively manage and troubleshoot issues within an IT environment. Maintain meticulous organization and attention to detail. Utilize CompTIA Network+, Security+, MCSE, or CISSP certification knowledge (as applicable). Manage and utilize Host Based Security Systems (HBSS). Support CAC/PIV authentication-based systems. Execute Motorola ASTRO upgrades (as applicable based on experience level). Lift and move equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. Candidate Requirements: Must be capable of obtaining an acceptable adjudication of DOD Secret (T3) Clearance within 18 months of initial employment date Complete standard form SF86 questionnaire and fingerprinting for national security positions Must obtain either a CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification within first 12 months of employment Travel/Locati
