Blue Origin LLC Instrumentation Engineer III - Lunar Permanence in Seattle, Washington

Lunar Transportation: This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop flight instrumentation and collaborate with design engineers to understand and document their instrumentation requirements and interfaces Select, design, and test sensors for the fluids and propulsion integrated product team Engage with instrumentation suppliers to develop the flight sensors and help create strategic relationships with them Write specifications, verification plans and system safety artifacts for flight sensors Create mechanical and electrical drawings for sensor assemblies Plan and execute sensor characterization, verification, and qualification test campaigns Interact with internal and external partners to track instrumentation engineering development and ensure the release of installation drawings per schedule Minimum Qualifications B.S. degree or higher in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or other appropriate engineering or physics field 5+ years of experience in design, test, and operation of transducers for the aerospace industry Experience managing suppliers and projects from initial concept through production Excellent attention to detail and strong task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to travel up to 10% Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of NADCAP processes (welding, soldering, brazing) Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $125,400.00-$175,560.00;WA applicants is $136,800.00-$191,520.00 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
