UW Medicine Human Resources - Recruiting team has an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Recruiter to join their dynamic and hard working team!
This role will plan, develop and implement full-lifecycle recruitment and staffing strategies for assigned job families, hiring departments, and/or areas with special emphasis on a well-qualified and diverse pool of candidates, quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness. The primary role of recruiters is to provide full-lifecycle, full-service recruitment support and partnership to managers for all levels of staff recruitment. The recruiter is also responsible for creating recruiting strategies in the community, creating community contacts, and acting as liaison with community organizations and UW Medicine for purposes of sourcing candidates and candidate lead generation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a high level of customer service in consulting with and guiding hiring managers and departments in comprehensive recruitment and staffing issues, policies, and processes.
Execute recruitment plan by aggressively recruiting for well-qualified candidates from a variety of sources including passive sourcing, cold calling and various internet search engines, managing selection process to include interviewing, assessing candidates, screening, and recommending finalists, and filling the staffing needs within the defined service and performance criteria.
Develop recruitment plan based on department needs that clearly define and commit to service and performance criteria; influence strategic staffing decisions such as succession planning, training, and career development.
Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the business unit and its recruitment needs within the context of their mission; develop and maintain a strong rapport with key leaders in the department; attend departmental staff and other meetings as requested to acquire substantial knowledge about the department's business objectives, goals, operations and work culture.
Set expectations with recruitment intake conversations and recruitment plans (develop roles and responsibilities). Provide counsel and expertise in all areas of recruitment and staffing (e.g., search firms, advertising, market trends/analysis).
Provide consultation on a variety of human resource issues and work closely with all areas of Human Resource Department to facilitate effective Human Resource relationships; provide basic employee benefits information to hiring managers and candidates; train departmental hiring managers on recruitment and selection processes, interviewing techniques.
Promote the health system, the medical centers, and/or the university at a variety of recruitment functions such as job fairs, university and college career days, and career events targeted for special populations. Collect and analyze data on demographics and hiring activity for use in designing recruitment plans.
Lead Responsibilities:
The recruiter is expected to provide guidance and serve as a lead on the staff recruitment team. The recruiter will be responsible for working directly with recruiting coordinators (HRCA2s) on the team to help grow, develop, and establish processes. Represent the team on committees, special projects, etc. as needs arise.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills, knowledge, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
Ideal candidate will possess three plus years of recruiting experience in the healthcare field. Three years of experience working closely with hiring managers on recruiting and other HR issues in a dynamic and diverse environment. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to include proven negotiation skills.
Knowledge and experience related to the specific health care positions for which the candidate is recruiting including relevant medical terminology and licensure/certification/educational standards • Fluent in interviewing techniques • Ability to analyze and interpret information, and consult with customers regarding federal/state rules and regulations governing employment. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills • Working knowledge of technology, applicant tracking, statistics, workforce projections and analysis, and industry trends • Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaboration with applicants, peers, managers, physicians and all other stakeholders, internally and externally. • Shares recruitment and retention knowledge and skills with colleagues, managers and administrators. • Consistently communicates recruitment and retention efforts to all stakeholders verbally, in writing and/or via presentation. • Accepts full accountability for the entire hiring process • Strong cold calling and relationship building skills • Demonstrated ability to source and recruit quality passive candidates for hire using various sourcing tools, referrals, candidate pipeline development strategies, and search engines.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the stated requirements.
