Blue Origin LLC Operations Financial Analyst Sr. in Seattle, Washington

We are looking for a motivated, analytical, critical thinker who has a track record of crafting solutions for challenging business gaps and problems to join our team. As a member of the Operations Finance organization, you will drive key initiatives to improve the quality and timeliness of insights provided to business leadership, assisting them in understanding financial and product cost performance, develop tools to enable proactive financial management, and provide insights to enable critical business decisions. In this role, you will apply fundamentals of project management, leading and ensuring successful execution of initiatives which will help our business progress and meet their goals. We are seeking a storyteller, who can clearly articulate complex concepts and translate numeric financial results into meaningful programmatic and operational performance narratives. The individual should possess excellent financial acumen and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will be working day to day using Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting, Planful (Blue Origin's Financial Planning tool) and Costpoint (Accounting system). This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Assist with creation of models for financial reviews, cost benefit analysis, and metrics Be the financial site focal for multi-site factories Conduct indirect cost management and analysis Support headcount and cost center planning Participate in factory improvement projects to drive labor inefficiencies Provide actionable insights into factory financial performance and drive actions to closure Manage end of month business rhythm and deliverables Data mining across diverse data sets; Databricks; Redshift; SQL Prepare and consolidate monthly/quarterly financial and metric report outs for Operations and Finance Leadership Identify operational and financial risk & opportunities with potential solutions; assist with recovery plan development Analyze and report financial performance variances of actuals to budget and forecast Support key business analytics and key performance indicator generation Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other highly analytical field 8+ years of financial and business analytics experience Ability to develop pricing models based on multiple inputs including market conditions, competition, and other constraints Strong analytical skill set and high attention to detail Excellent written communication and presentation skills Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel Power Query, Power Pivot Experience in helping business leaders meet financial targets and deliver results Understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted int
