The UW Medical Center Montlake - SSC Hepatobiliary and Liver Tumor Surgery Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time (40 hours a week), day shifts Program Care Coordinator .

Opportunity to provide career growth SCHEDULE Days, 100% FTEMonday- Friday 800am- 430pm DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The General Surgery Clinic at UW Medical Center - Montlake offers a range of evaluation and surgical treatment services. Our services include the evaluation and general surgical treatments of cancers and other diseases; treatment of conditions of the colon, rectum and anus; and hernia care. Our experienced, board-certified physicians and medical staff treat patients as individuals, each with his or her own health needs and life goals. RESPONSIBLITIES
Triage medical information in a specific medical or surgical specialty
Schedule post-surgery diagnostic procedures and follow-up patient appointments
Act as a liaison between patients, consulting physician, referring physician, or outside agency to coordinate patient appointments, admission, or surgery. Will coordinate the exchange of information either written or verbally before and after patients are seen
Coordinate anesthesia
Obtain all necessary medical records, diagnostic studies, pathology items, etc., that are needed for patient care
Assist in scheduling new patient appointments by triaging to appropriate department and physician
Enter appointment information in online appointment system
Coordinate pre-admission tests and procedures
Schedule and ensure pre-anesthesia works-ups are completed
Coordinate the direct transfer of patients from outside hospitals to UWMC with physicians, medical staff, and Admitting QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty
Three years of Patient Support Service experience OR
