Amazon Senior Product Manager - Tech, Amazon Music, Retention in Seattle, Washington

We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager to lead Amazon Music Retention initiatives. This individual will lead core subscription retention activities that will drive a big impact on Amazon Music growth. You will influence leaders to pursue new ideas (such as Gamification and Loyalty programs) to improve retention across all cohorts. You will work closely with WW Marketers, UX Designers, Legal, Finance as well as senior leaders to define new initiatives and customer experiences. You will be effective at driving your dedicated engineering team to build the right customer experiences. You will conceive and manage retention initiatives, while continuously evaluating opportunities for big ideas and ongoing product improvements.

This position is responsible for owning and developing a clear product roadmap and driving activities for customer retention, and will enjoy a high amount of autonomy, with the ability to set strategy and implement a diverse set of initiatives and projects throughout the year. In this role you will also be responsible for owning a suite of APIs that power subscription renewals, upgrades and downgrades, and cancellations.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, excel at influencing broad stakeholder groups, and adept at thinking big to develop long-term, trajectory-changing experiences that Amazon customers love. This role will require excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, data-driven analyses and insights, deep curiosity about how things work, bias for action and ownership to drive results, and a passion for building products and experiences. In this context, an ideal candidate will have experience running A/B experimentation at scale and communicate learnings across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create and drive the 3-year strategic vision for Amazon Music retention, grounded in a deep understanding of customer data and insights

• Monitor and report on related key performance indicators, escalating issues early and providing data-driven recommendations

• Drive the Amazon Music retention product roadmap and collaborate with the cross-functional teams to prioritize and launch new products WW

• Leverage data and customer research to identify untapped opportunities and develop product plans to address them

• Partner with teams across Amazon (Marketing, Payments, etc.) to drive innovation and develop new products that will continuously improve customer retention

• Drive customer experience and retention through both traditional marketing and Amazon owned retention technology. (e.g. auto-targeting for engagement, partnering with customer service etc.)

• Developing customer insights and following market segment trends closely to anticipate challenges and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
