Nordstrom Sr Manager - Asset Protection Programs and Infrastructure in Seattle, Washington

Job Description

The National Asset Protection Senior Manager of Programs and Infrastructure will lead, develop, prioritize and implement cross functional initiatives that support organizational strategies across business units of Stores, Supply Chain and Corporate Offices. This business leader will be a collaborative change agent, recommending and influencing program and process improvement to drive productivity, produce and achieve KPI benchmarks, accomplish departmental goals and ultimately support reduced shrink. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The drive and capability to shape a new business group strategy and foster ideas and solutions is necessary.This position will be responsible for National AP Program Management and Emergency Operations team, ensuring all initiatives meet the business objective, timeline and operate within the established budget.

A day in the life…

  • Identify, design and lead Asset Protection practices, projects, training and initiatives that reduce shrink, and improve employee and customer safety and security. This includes all stages from identification of opportunities using data and good judgement, business case creation, organizational buy-in, solution sourcing/design and business implementation.

  • Develop and implement strategies that leverage current asset protection industry best practices. Act as point-of-contact for business leaders and key stakeholders through execution of strategies to monitor impact and adjust plans accordingly

  • Manage multiple complex projects concurrently for shortage improvement, with responsibility for ensuring results are integrated effectively into the business plan

  • Lead AP team in developing and implementing business objectives and security processes to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability in financial, physical, personal, and reputational risk

  • Oversee and support deployment of state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative Asset Protection management standards to safeguard Nordstrom assets

  • Engage in continuous planning cycle to drive next wave planning while keeping pulse on execution and stepping into execution where uniquely required. Anticipate future business changes and challenges and proactively develop new or revised solutions. Enable and drive transformational change to further Nordstrom's success

  • Participate in large, cross-functional initiatives by serving as a subject matter expert for Asset Protection programs across the company. Perform deep-dives and root cause analysis to answer business questions

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Corporate partners in Legal, Compliance, Finance, Technology, HR as well as Field Leaders in Operations, HR and Asset Protection

  • Act as a courageous communicator and collaborator with peers, managers, directors and executive leadership to support and make decisions on strategic initiatives and projects

  • Advocate for a safe and secure culture, including being a lead partner for crisis and emergency response planning

  • Maintain knowledge of retail Asset Protection best practices, industry connections and subject matter expertise, including internal and external shrink, Organized Retail Crime, and fraud

  • Empower a team of project managers, who are deployed to various AP programs, with accountability and ownership. Set the direction and coach partners to achieve results; establish clear expectations, tactics and timelines for assigned projects. Mentor and provide feedback to build high-performing team with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experience

    You’ve got this if…

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Criminal Justice or related field

  • 15+ years of overall Asset Protection business experience

  • 8-10 years experience in managing Corporate Asset Protection programs and leading a team

  • High-level strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills demonstrating broad expertise in loss prevention and organized retail crime

  • Expertise in Loss Prevention/Asset Protection strategy development, best practices including internal and external shrinkage controls and security systems technology

  • Proven ability to identify, define, and resolve problems that are often non-conforming and without clear precedent

  • Skilled in risk management, business risk analysis and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions

  • Highly analytical and capable of managing programs through metrics

  • Hands on, results driven with strong project management skills

  • Excellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: 126,500.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
