Job Overview:

F5 is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Security Architect to join our team. The Security Architect will design, implement, and maintain secure systems, networks, and applications. This role will serve as a key technical resource in safeguarding F5's infrastructure, products, and services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security frameworks, best practices, and emerging technologies to address complex security challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Architecture Design: Develop and implement security solutions to protect F5's products, services, and infrastructure. Create blueprints for security systems and ensure they meet organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work with product and engineering teams to incorporate security principles into design, development, and operational processes. Provide mentorship to teams regarding security practices.
  • Risk Assessment & Management: Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses on existing and new systems. Identify, prioritize, and remediate security threats to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure systems comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory frameworks. Lead audits and reviews to maintain security posture.
  • Security Incident Response: Develop and maintain response plans for security incidents. Investigate, respond, and manage cybersecurity incidents to minimize impact.
  • Cloud Security: Design and implement security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), focusing on securing data, infrastructure, and applications in multi-cloud architectures.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Oversee IAM policies and protocols, ensuring secure and appropriate access to systems and data.
  • Security Testing and Monitoring: Lead penetration testing, ethical hacking, and security reviews. Implement automated security monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest security trends and emerging threats, and proactively recommend enhancements to security policies and practices.

     

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field

In-depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption, identity management, and security frameworks (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH certifications are a plus)

Strong experience with cloud security and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), security incident and event management (SIEM), etc.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and address complex security issues

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Experience with Dev-Sec-Ops and integrating secur
