Job Summary Astound Business Solutions is currently searching for a Strategic Sourcing Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sourcing professional in one of the fastest growing divisions in Astound Business. This position will be responsible for vendor management, resource and process management, internal support and training, as well as circuit inventory and circuit optimization projects. The successful candidate will be highly motivated by individual achievement and team success incorporating their procurement experience to meet the Astound Business Plan Strategy for this function. A Day in the Life of the Strategic Sourcing Operations Manager: Engage with Sales Engineering in finding solutions for incoming sourcing inquiries for off-net service requests as well as large customer and internal off-net sourcing projects. Provide support to all internal teams by answering inquiries, providing guidance, and assisting with system / order / pricing / billing / NOC problem resolution as it relates to off-net sourcing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vendor products, services, pricing, and promotions by engaging in recurring virtual and in-person touchpoint meetings as well as maintaining a database of vendor information. Catalog and outline current agreements and SLAs for vendor value initiative to ensure completeness, manage performance, resolve disputes, calculate liability and identify areas of improvement. Maintain a vendor performance scorecard system to evaluate and track performance, based on factors like responsiveness, delivery timeliness, pricing competitiveness and service quality. Schedule QBRs to evaluate and compare results. Analyze inventory for groom opportunities, engage stakeholders in ongoing approval process, manage circuit groom process from approval to installation / disconnect. Manage vendor rerates by engaging stakeholders for awareness and possible groom approval. Develop and implement Type 2 technical and process training documentation as it relates to each cross functional team, conduct regular training sessions with sales, engineering, IPM, finance, NOC to foster a greater understanding of Type 2 capabilities and processes. Development, administration and maintenance of the Connectbase and Neustar platforms, from adding new vendors and functionality to eventual integration with CRM. Other duties and projects as assigned What You Bring to the Table: Minimum 5 years of telecom sourcing and technical sales team support in the telecommunications or cable industry Product and vendor specific knowledge of Ethernet and Wave services, Lit and Dark Fiber offerings, as well as associated end-user and carrier applications Operational understanding of telecommunications contracting, ordering, provisioning and billing processes Working knowledge of telecom automation tools and vendor portals and processes Bachelor's degree required with a degree in a related field preferred Ability to work independently given appropriate instruction Strong organization skills with high attention to detail and accuracy is essential for success Highly productive and prioritizes multiple tasks as this position will require flexibility and willingness to pivot quic
