Job Title: Systems Analyst 1 Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Preferred / Remote OK) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, PST Time zone (Flexible, Preferred 8 AM - 5 PM PST) Contract Duration: 6 months (March 31, 2025 - October 3, 2025) Job Summary: Client seeking a Systems Analyst 1 to support its Workforce Management operations. This role will be responsible for software configuration, testing, and deployment in an agile environment, supporting scheduling for all stores, and ensuring seamless workforce management. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience with workforce management systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams. Role & Responsibilities: Lead software configuration, testing, and deployment within an agile project cycle. Coordinate software changes across internal and external teams, ensuring software quality and acting as a gatekeeper for change control. Perform root cause analysis to resolve application and business process issues permanently. Support scheduling functions across Nordstrom stores, including new store openings. Manage small to medium sustainment projects. Participate in an on-call rotation for weekends as needed. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, tailoring messages appropriately. Required Skills & Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in software delivery, configuration, and testing. Strong knowledge of workforce management applications such as JDA/Blue Yonder, Kronos, Dayforce, Workday (preferred). Experience with labor scheduling in a retail environment (preferred). Ability to construct and use SQL queries for data-driven decision-making and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Education: BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience as an Analyst. Work Arrangement: Hybrid preferred (Seattle, WA); remote option available. On-call rotation for weekends.
