Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; others may be assigned:
Improve work methods and tooling
Report any safety problems to management
Follow all environmental, health and safety policies
Keep work area clean and orderly
Manage ones own time efficiently
Evaluate self work to ensure compliance with work instructions and standards
Compile, copy, sort and file records of office activities, add new materials to file records, and create new records as necessary
Operate office machines, such as scanners, copiers, and computers
Maintain and update filing either manually and/or electronically
Maintain and update databases (NMR database) either manually and/or electronically
Sort or classify information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria or chronological, alphabetical or numerical order
Ability to keep accurate records
Verifies specified dimensions of product or material
Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly
Reject defective parts, and mark type of defect on part, container of parts and/or inspection tag
Performs basic receiving/in-process inspection

- Make expiration labels for basic inspection
{=html} <!-- --> - Use calipers, protractors, multimeters, microscope, micrometers, metal scales, digital scales, height gages, dial indicators, and bore gages/ring gages

{=html} <!-- --> - Use of dynamometer, Numerix CMM, hardness tester, and Optical Comparator
{=html} <!-- --> - Read and answer email on a continuous basis
Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Basic use Visual MRP system

Wearing the proper safety equipment

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); must be familiar with FAA Quality Basics, 1-2 yrs related experience and/or training.
The ability to read, and interpret English documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and reports, drawings, schematics and specifications Ability to write and/or type routine correspondence or reports. The ability to perform shop math including use of decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule, ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use Geometrical Tolerance per ANSI 14.5 and MIL-STD-105E (ANSI/ASQCZ 1.4)
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear and see. Must be compliant with FAA Manual vision test and color blindness test.
