We are looking for a General Production Operator to join our Manufacturing team in Senatobia, MS.  Benefits Day 1

The Production Operator position is responsible for the operation of machinery and equipment used to manufacture high quality products by monitoring, recording, and adjusting machines as needed to meet customer demands. The Machine Operator must be able to operate and troubleshoot machine operation and inspect finished products.

Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the operation of the machine in a safe manner according to safety guidelines including lockout/tagout procedures and daily inspections of equipment (hoists/cranes, ladders, forklifts, etc.). Responsible for reading and interpreting job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, recognizing types of material for specific products and ensuring proper monitoring and recording are performed. Maintain operating equipment high performance utilization in a consistent manner per identified key process variables that ensure high product quality and productivity demands are being met. Control quality of the manufacturing of finish good through periodic inspections in an effort to identify process flaws and defects, mitigate upon detection. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Also, aid in identifying opportunities for improvements throughout the plant floor from safety, to SOPs/WIs revisions, and process efficiency. Responsible for keeping immediate work area in an orderly condition per 5S principles to enable a safe and organized work environment. Identify any potential and known unsafe working conditions through the site Near Miss safety engagement program and conducting "just do it" (JDI) activities to correct immediately when able. Responsible for the set-up, adjustments, and care equipment and tools required to operate machine for specified products by complying with site 5S requirements. Support daily activities within the guidelines of the site, company policies, and job descriptions to drive system sustainment, enhance employee engagement, and to promote ownership on all level of the organization.

Job Requirements: Education -- High School diploma or GED require. Knowledge and experience of computers and working in CAD systems. Prior experience operating a forklift preferred. Ability to use measuring gauges such as tape measures. Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills. Ability to effectively communicate. Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with limited exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, odors, and dust in addition to the special hazards of mechanical and electrical. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked. Some overtime may be required during high sales volumes.
