Manufacturing & Engineering Internship – Process Safety Documentation for Compliance against LPPs and PS program

We are looking for you, an ambitiousBachelor’s or Master’s student in engineering (m/f),to support our department by doing an internship project in for our location inSeneffe, Belgium.

The department that will welcome you is part of the Consumer Solutions Business specialized in the production of Silicones Antifoam, Emulsions and Sealants (Manufacturing department)

Project description

The objective of the work is to gather/collect information and create procedures to help the Seneffe’ s Site to continuously improve its Process Safety level:

-Prepare documentation of pressure relief devices useful for calculation notes creation.

-Assess the nitrogen flow rates used in the different production units to identify potential gaps versus the “Nitrogen” standard + procedure creation.

-Identify the manual Emergency block valves available on the nitrogen, steam and natural gas network for documentation.

-Take nitrogen readings (dimensions of emission points, pressure, flow rates, ventilation flow rates, measurement with anemometer....) to enable the creation of asphyxiation risk analysis.

• For each production unit, document safe operating limits, (e.g., temperatures, pressures, flows, compositions), critical inventories

• Identify Basic Process Control Systems Protection functions with operational response and document them in the procedures.

• Work on the implementation of process safety improvement projects in the production area.

Qualifications

• You are currently studying for a bachelor or master degree in engineering.

• You have a good working knowledge of English and French.

You can start between November 2024 and January 2025 for a period of 4 to 6 months (exact timing to be discussed).
