Job Description

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Reports To: Quality Manager

Position Summary: (1-2 sentences)

The Site Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for ensuring high-quality happiness of customers, establishing processes that consistently deliver top-quality results, and promoting quality awareness within the multi-functional team(s). The role involves evaluating the quality, reliability, and happiness levels; leading multi-functional and multi-organizational teams to improve quality; analyzing failures; conducting experiments; collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, NPT teams, contract manufacturing partner(s), customers, and business units using structured problem-solving tools and techniques, and accomplishing tasks and objectives that promote quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities: (Bullets)

• Monitor and report the performance of products in market by analyzing customer feedback, files of authority, and service report;

• Directly and timely communicate with customer for quality and technical issues;

• Improve efficiency of customer quality feedback system by coordinating between commercial channels and manufacturing forces;

• Organize RGA process cross-functionally; support overseas customer on product registration;

• Conduct process audit and product audit to identify improvement opportunity; analyze root cause for quality problem and work through corrective and preventive action;

• Review engineering change from product compliance aspect; maintain accuracy of engineering data in SAP;

• Manage document control system.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: (Bullets)

• Major in engineering background

• 3 years above experiences in manufacturing, technical service environment, or customer relationship management;

• Professional technical or engineering experience; laboratorial instrument industry or multi-technologies know-how will be preference;

• Knowledge and experience on Lean manufacturing

• Strong inter-personal skills;

• Excellent oral and written communication skill in English, be able to work in a multicultural environment;

• Practical experience in SAP; Implementation experience in ISO9000;

• Ability to achieve goals independently within a challenging time frame.
