Danaher Corporation General Manager in Shanghai, China

POSITION SUMMARY:

This exciting role will provide general management leadership of all business activities for China. The leader will develop existing business, identify new business opportunities, emerging trends and respond to the market and competitive dynamics with profitable, differentiated business strategies. As a key leader of China DX platform and OpCo global team, the incumbent will actively develop strategies, lead initiatives and develop and manage a strong team.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with corporate goals and market conditions.

  • Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability for both business entities.

  • Identify opportunities for synergy and collaboration between the internal, external and 2 business entities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance productivity and quality.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and forecasting for the two entities.

  • Optimize financial performance through cost management and revenue generation initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team across both entities.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Ensure alignment of team goals with overall corporate objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, investors, and regulatory authorities.

  • Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and events.

  • Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships and alliances.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
