Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates of Resideo's Platform that will be utilized in latest in home automation IOT devices for Comfort and Security products. You will use your experience and technical skills to design and implement features targeted for the North American and European residential and light commercial markets. You will be partner with world class engineers and leaders. Use your strategic thinking to help anticipate problems, recognize and eliminate barriers.

JOB DUTIES:

• Lead NPI products mechanical architect and details design and PCBA stack up design, maintain projects follow up.

• Review MRD (Marketing Requirement Definition) and clarify all the issues with global teams.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize the system design.

• Estimate mechanical material cost and tooling cost and continuously drive mechanical BOM cost optimization.

• Have good mechanical design knowledge, including products made from injection-molded plastic parts, metal castings, metal sheets, and silicone rubber. Familiar with the main surface treatment processes (painting, electroplating, laser...).

• Be able to support supplier tooling DFM reviews and have good experience in tooling structures.

• Work with global factories to resolve all production line issues.

• Responsible for EVT and DVT engineering validation tests and documents.

• Responsible for the component/system-level qualification process (PPAP) and ECO/ECR process in PLM.

• Up to 10% of the time for domestic travel and 5% of the time for international travel.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Minimum 6-8 years hands on products mechanical design experiences.

• Minimum 6 years of proficient in Creo/Windchill tool, good top-down design experience, 3D modeling.

• Capable of Ansys FEA, Tolerance Analysis, DFMEA, Advanced 3D modeling in Creo.

• Familiar with UL and EN global standards in Security or household products.

• Able to communicate with global team on projects in English.

• Smart Home devices, Scientific instruments, and Consumer electronics, etc.
