Description My client is an industry leader in the manufacturing industry seeking to replace their Senior Accountant.

Senior Accountant Location: Shenandoah Valley, VA, United States Position Type: permanent Onsite

Job Summary: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in key financial responsibilities, including complex accounting operations, performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and conducting advanced analyses requiring strong Excel skills. You will assist with financial statement preparation and the 10K filing process, working collaboratively with the Financial Reporting Manager. While prior SEC experience is not required, you will be integral to ensuring the financial processes and reporting meet high standards of accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed accounting tasks using advanced Excel functions for analysis. Prepare ledgers, develop budgets, and analyze financial data. Perform and finalize bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations. Record daily cash transactions, prepare daily cash reports, and track cash receipts from customers. Enter and review vendor and supplier invoices to ensure timely processing and accounting. Assist with preparing and entering journal entries during month-end close cycles. Support fixed asset accounting and reporting processes. Aid in financial statement preparation and 10K filings, stepping in alongside the Financial Reporting Manager. Provide assistance with payroll as needed.

Compensation and Benefits: Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $110,000 annually (plus bonus). This range reflects the estimated base salary for this role, but total compensation may include additional opportunities such as annual bonuses. Compensation is determined based on relevant qualifications, skills, and geographic factors, while maintaining internal pay equity standards. Requirements Qualifications and Experience: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent technical training and experience. A minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in general ledger and reconciliations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP platforms. Preferred: CPA certification or pursuit of certification. Skills in financial reporting and experience with fixed asset accounting. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
