Amazon Hardlines Private Brands team is looking for a passionate, analytical, and resourceful person to deliver a best-in-class strategy spanning Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations to support our rapidly expanding portfolio of products that are designed to meet our customers’ everyday needs. To succeed, you must possess the ability to plan and operate from a global and company-wide perspective, quickly learn operations to understand key metrics and gain proficiency with Amazon systems. You own defining, measuring, and executing the goals of your business and will be expected to identify opportunities that drive projects to improve buying systems/processes, surface and resolve defects, reduce waste/cost and improve overall efficiency.

Key job responsibilities

A successful candidate will have a strong business acumen and a passion for supply chain. They must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and enjoy identifying opportunities to design and implement long-term scalable solutions from end-to-end. They will have a strong mix of analytical and innovative thinking, alongside the ability to earn trust, which they will use to own and drive change across the business. The candidate should be passionate about retail and enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

A day in the life

Daily responsibilities:

• Work continuously to optimize product availability for your categories through effective end-to-end management of the supply chain

• Leverage data to drive analysis and decision-making and deliver improvements

• Identify and develop scalable solutions to key operational challenges

• Own and manage multiple projects, working across global teams to improve origin supply chain/operations

• Setting goals and managing performance against key operational metrics

• Work closely with partner teams to align and optimize on outbound operation performance, lead times and costs

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level

  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
