Texas Instruments Facilities Technician Intern (Sherman, Texas) in Sherman, Texas

Texas Instruments is seeking Facilities Technician Interns who will be responsible for performing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In this role you will utilize diagnostic equipment and various vendor documents to isolate and repair malfunctions. Work may involve repetitive motion and some heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs).

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Currently enrolled in a Technical Certificate or Associates Degree Program in Advanced Manufacturing, EET, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Automation/Systems, Electrical and Power Controls, Process Technology or related technical field

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of vacuum, RF, AC/DC and digital electronic theory, and the ability to assemble, disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies

  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions

  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results

  • Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role.

  • Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
