Job Description

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace and Defense Company is seeking talented college students to join our 2025 summer internship program. Our 12-week internship program is designed to provide real-world and hands-on experience in areas that interest you! As an intern, you will collaborate with industry experts to solve real-world challenges and change the way we do business. Electronics Product (Manufacturing) Interns will provide electrical project support through:

• Development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation (including manufacturing instructions, routings, process specifications and tooling) as well as product testing requirements and methods.

• Solving manufacturing problems, investigating process failures and implementing corrective actions

• Coordination with other departments to ensure the production viability of new designs, creation of the required documentation, and internal and customer approval of documentation.

• Interface with production personnel including operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors.

• Implementation of Lean methodologies including standard work, point of use tooling, material presentation and process improvements.

• Development of layouts of manufacturing cell design including tooling, machinery and equipment.

• Technical compliance and risk assessment

• Creating standard work and contributing to manufacturing cell planning

  Qualified candidates will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with Junior standing at the time of application, preferably in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
