Aon’s Centers for Innovation and Analytics are at the heart of delivering Aon’s Data & Analytic Services team’s mission to: Accelerate the rate of innovation through digital solutions to help better respond to clients’ evolving needs. Provide foundational data and analytics capabilities in one place for 50,000 Aon colleagues and our global clients who use our risk and people solutions.

Established in 2012, there are over 100 colleagues in Singapore’s Centre today including actuaries, software developers, data scientists, financial analysts and accountants. We are expanding rapidly and looking for dedicated individuals who can demonstrate emerging technologies and collaborate across Aon’s solution lines to help clients and colleagues make better, data-driven decisions today and tomorrow.

What the day will look like

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translating complex problem statements into clear, actionable solutions.

  • Apply visualization tools in accordance with Aon’s standards to build insightful dashboards that communicate data trends and outcomes to stakeholders.

  • Conduct detailed analyses of various datasets to identify patterns, trends, and commonalities that support evidence-based decision-making.

  • Strong storytelling skills to present dashboards with a clear flow, enabling business stakeholders to understand insights and make informed decisions.

  • Be responsible for the management of master data and critical to project delivery including creation, updates, and deletion, ensuring accuracy and reliability at all stages.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards while supporting initiatives that promote data integrity and normalization.

  • Develop and implement practices for commissioning, transformation, and clean-up of datasets.

  • Detect and resolve data quality issues by defining data quality checks and recommending comprehensive solutions.

  • Exercise a meticulous eye for detail to identify outliers and anomalies in addressing potential issues proactively to safeguard the reliability of analytics.

    In this pivotal role, you will maximise your expertise in health claims and coding datasets to advise strategic decisions for our clients. Your expertise in data management and ability to analyze trends and articulate compelling narratives through data will be instrumental in guiding our initiatives

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

  • Relevant experience in data analysis, business analytics, or visualization, preferably within the health insurance domain, with experience handling health claims data.

  • Knowledge and experience with data collection and processing tools and technologies.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data querying tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal teams and handling stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience in stakeholder management to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.

  • Meticulous with robust organizational skills.

  • A good knowledge of healthcare coding datasets, including ICD, CPT, and APAC country specific coding sets, is a plus.
