The Position
Lead the development and execution of the strategy and value proposition for the stroke care management programme (ANGELS Initiative) in Regional Operating Unit ASEAN, South Korea, and Australia, to drive optimal medical therapy. Responsible for leading teams in different countries, making sure everyone is steering and driving ANGELS initiatives in their countries. They will help create plans with these teams and guide them in implementing these plans.
In leading the regional ANGELS Initiative, the SCPL also facilitates activities across countries, including region-wide ANGELS programmes and best practice sharing between country ANGELS teams. Drive execution excellence, ensuring alignment of country teams and activities with the strategy. Seek to understand the needs of the OPUs, steers the redirection of approaches if not successful and leads the development of tangible solutions and actions. Represents ASEAN, South Korea, and Australia in engaging with key external stakeholders and developing partnerships for stroke care improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for development of robust strategy in alignment with Corporate, and the tactical translation and execution of strategy at ROPU level- Lead ROPU stroke care teams in implementing and executing strategies and activities to drive the stroke care initiative
Ensure alignment of country teams to strategic objectives for Angels Initiative
Lead and execute ROPU events and activities for scientific engagement
Support countries in achievement of target number of consulted hospitals and thrombolysis rates
Deliver monthly performance summaries and KPI updates
Ensure appropriate management of budget to maintain/develop or optimize progress of ANGELS plans
Guide country teams and provide active input into the development and review of operational plans
Closely work with and follow up with country teams on the implementation of operational plans, immediately highlighting potential issues to Medical Director and proposing solutions and counter measures
Drive effective operations within the ANGELS team
Provide guidance to ensure alignment of plans within the agreed ROPU goals and priorities
Seek regular feedback and input from country teams
Look at best practices across countries, drive synergies, identify and evaluate trends or common issues, and develop regional offerings or action plans where possible.
Interface with Corporate to ensure ROPU ASKAN is well represented in global initiatives and development projects Ensure the ROPU strategies are aligned with key global strategic directions and that there is adequate access to global resources
Drive roll-out and embedding of programs / processes / tools (e.g. multi-channel) to enhance stakeholder engagement
Manage relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. international speakers, steering committee members)
Support countries in managing partnerships with stroke organizations with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization
Develop partnerships with strategic organizations for stroke care improvement
Build an effective ANGELS team committed to delivering stretch targets and achieving both short-term and long-term objectives
Provide clarity on the goals and objectives to be achieved by the team
Define job competencies, ensure development of skills and abilities through ongoing feedback, coaching and training/ development opportunities for ANGELS teams
Communicate regularly key summaries/updates to Senior Management in a clear and precise way to facilitate information sharing, consultation and efficient decision making
Ensure consistency in activity and KPI reporting across countries (e.g. on Excel, Veeva or Salesforce)
Comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals and follow company Code of Conduct
Take necessary action and develop solutions / CAPA on issues in compliance
Be a role model in compliance with local regulations, industry and company code of conduct
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
More than 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry is required.
Specific product /Therapeutic Area experience in stroke would be a benefit
Demonstrated ability to engage and interact with medical and professional community
Track record of project and programme management
Cultural understanding and ability to act sensitively
Excellent command of written and spoken English & overall communication skills
Ability to travel to countries for varying durations
