Position Summary Information
Position Summary
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and master’s level courses in the Department’s curriculum. Undergraduate teaching would include in-person and/or online sections of Human Development. Master’s level teaching may include fully in-person, hybrid, or fully online courses. Master’s level courses may include (but are not limited to) Counseling Theory, Techniques of Counseling, Lifespan Development, Career Counseling, Research and Program Assessment, Social and Cultural Diversity, and Group Counseling. Other responsibilities include working on Department committees and projects, and coordinating Department procedures and processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Must hold master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.
Must hold active LPC in state of PA.
Must demonstrate experience providing mental health education/services to clientele.
Must have familiarity with human development theory and its practical application.
Successful performance in an interview.
Preferred Qualifications
Possess doctorate in Counselor Education by August 2025.
Prior experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
Perceived ability to work productively with students and colleagues.
Experience teaching in-person, hybrid, and/or fully online courses.
Evidence of a commitment to addressing issues of access, equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching, advising, and /or scholarship.
