Description

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Teaneck, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Accounts Receivable team by processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain and update customer credit records.

• Utilize MS Excel for account analysis and data management.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Assist the Accounts Receivable team in their daily tasks.

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and workflow.

• Ensure all financial data is correctly entered and maintained in the system.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial records.

• Assist in other accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements • Role requires proficiency in MS Excel

• Ability to perform account analysis is essential

• No minimum years of experience required, suitable for those at the start of their career

• Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Good organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as required

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in accounting or related field will be a plus
