Morgan Stanley EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) Operations- VP- Team Manager in South Jordan, Utah

We’re seeking someone to join our team as an AML Operations Manager in Wealth Management Operations to manage consultant teams performing maker/checker functions for AML Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews. The best candidate for this role will be able to manage people and projects, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, and leverage influence rather than hierarchical relationships to get things done. Relevant experience would include legal or compliance background, risk management, fraud or anti-money laundering experience, operations management, people management, or project management.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Vice President level within the Client Service & Relationship Management, which is responsible for managing internal and external client relationships. We do this by engaging in client service activities, optimizing the client experience, and managing vendor/external business partner relationships.

What you’ll do in the role: -Manage complex processes and lead process management/project efforts -Lead in process improvement, project management and technology enhancements -Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution -Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley operations departments, and external contact points in Client and Vendor organizations.
-Build relationships with market managers and risk officers in field offices and partner with FA teams to complete required Enhance Due Diligence reviews. Respond with a sense of urgency to field requests. -Develop procedures, quality criteria, training and tracking where needed -Manage performance of vendors and consulting staff performing EDD reviews. Hold vendors accountable for targets and deliverables.
