Description We are in the market for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in South Portland, Maine. This role will primarily be centered around the management and reconciliation of accounts, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Handle account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Efficiently process customer invoices and maintain detailed financial records

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data

• Ensure all financial data entry is accurate and up-to-date

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required

• Demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential

• Must have a strong understanding of Billing processes

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing is a must

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required

• Familiarity with QuickBooks is essential

• A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
