BASF’s Coatings LLC is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates for a wide range of industries.
In this role you'll be l eading activities at our Windsor, Ontario facility , where we manufacture automotive paint, and other coatings, for collision shops and OEM's (original equipment manufacturers).
You’ll manage our union team of professionals responsible for production planning, finite scheduling, raw material planning, transportation planning/scheduling and all warehousing activities. As a key leader at the site, you direct inventory and planning processes to ensure that materials and products are available when needed to meet plant and customer requirements, as well ongoing inventory targets. You will be critical to ensuring end-to-end accountability to improve delivery reliability, positive customer experience, drive growth and maintain a focus on cost management.
What you'll do:
Utilize your superior people management skills inclusive of coaching and developing staff, performance management and conflict resolution.
Provide strategic and tactical direction. Identify and implement cost saving opportunities as well as define department SOP’s.
Drive best practice supply chain concepts, with a focus on technology.
Sit on both the regional Supply Chain Leadership and the Windsor site Leadership team to drive change and high performance.
Integrate supply and demand management, overseeing transportation and warehousing, coordinating supply network planning, master production scheduling, inventory management, and materials planning.
Collaborate with suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers, to ensure the seamless flow of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products within BASF and supplier companies.
Support our safety culture in which all accidents are preventable .
Oversee broker partners to ensure supply stability and enhance customer performance. Monitor our Transportation Performance KPIs and work to improve via collaboration with our dedicated carriers, Corporate Logistics, and procurement teams.
What you'll bring to the team:
A Supply Chain or Business, or related field Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing facility/warehouse environment. Automotive or chemical are strongly preferred.
Proven leadership focused on change management, associate development and creating a positive culture.
Demonstrated project coordination and time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments. Must be comfortable in a dynamic setting with diverse personalities.
Solid analytical skills and knowledge of current SCM concepts and SAP/ERP systems. Expertise launching digital tools highly preferred.
