Maintenance Technician - Graveyard

Responsibilities

  • Understand the manufacturing process as it relates to equipment start-up, operations, and company procedures.

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities as well as unscheduled repairs on industrial equipment and various other machines, including electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, electronic systems, circuits, controls, panels, and relays.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and make necessary adjustments.

  • Operate electrical hand tools and voltage or amp measuring devices.

  • Work from blueprints.

  • Lead by example and perform all job duties in accordance with company values.

  • Perform other duties as required by supervisors or managers.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma and/or GED equivalent.

  • Critical thinking skills, reading comprehension, communication, and the ability to read and work according to blueprints.

  • Problem identification and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to accurately complete all paperwork associated with work.

  • Adherence to all safety guidelines and fostering a safe work culture.

  • 4 years of previous experience with hands-on industrial maintenance.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.

  • Troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment.

  • Organizational skills.

  • Time management skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

Work Environment

Production facility in Sparks with a normal dress code and steel toe shoes required. The work environment involves working in warm temperatures and requires a full range of motion, including standing, reaching, moving, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs as necessary. The schedule for the third shift is 11 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday work may be required but is rare. Pay starts at $28 an hour DOE.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, Nevada. (Not USA Parkway)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.92 - $34.91/hr.
