HP Inc. Cloud Security Engineer/Architect in Spring, Texas

The senior security engineer will join a talented, global team of cloud security engineers, penetration testers, and security architects. This role applies cybersecurity subject matter expertise to challenging security engineering, cloud, and architecture problems across HP. This role is a central member of the architecture & security engineering function, which is solving some of the most challenging problem within HP's cloud, on-premises, SaaS, and product architectures. As a senior cloud security Engineer, this role will participate in developing cloud security controls for HP's public cloud and advise teams across HP on building secure solutions.

Responsibilities:

Applying hands-on cloud security expertise to strengthen HP's cloud presence in AWS, Azure, and GCP. Providing deep technical guidance on HP Cybersecurity architecture. Leads architecture reviews to strengthen HP's products and services. Identifies opportunities to improve HP's security posture in the cloud. Works with stakeholders across the enterprise and establishes/maintains relationships. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing security requirements.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Strong hands-on knowledge in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Extensive cybersecurity knowledge across all domains. Strong subject matter expertise in at least the following areas:

  • Cloud Security

  • Application Security

  • Data Protection & Privacy

  • Network Security

  • Cryptography

  • Identity & Access Management

Knowledge of applicable industry standards, leading security practices and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of security fundamentals and general security technologies. Strong ability to motivate and lead team members in a remote/virtual environment.

Experience Required

5+ years of experience working in an enterprise environment. Domain-relevant training and certifications

The base pay range for this role is $107,650 to $204,550 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
