American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a Manager, Manufacturing Engineering in Springboro, Ohio. Job Summary The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering of our Springboro, Ohio facility will serve as a manufacturing leader responsible for all aspects of manufacturing and contract manufacturing engineering planning and execution activities required to launch new programs and meet customer and business plan requirements. Responsibilities * Lead manufacturing planning and execution for contract manufacturing projects. * Lead a team responsible for Implementing performance, cost, quality, and consistency improvements in products and processes during and after the design phase. * Lead the manufacturing evaluation of new product concepts (DFA), creation of manufacturing plans, and estimations of production costs for the facility. * Determine Cap-EX and VA for new projects, scenario planning, and acquisition projects. * Manage team responsible for manufacturing evaluation of new product concepts, creation of manufacturing plans, and estimations of production costs. * Responsible for Equipment & Tooling Readiness/Documentation and all safety standards. * Manage plant expenditures, labor costs, and departmental budgets. * Responsible for maintaining and improving all factory processes and related metrics. * Approve machinery and equipment runoff according to MAP standards. * Lead new product and process introduction. * Develop technical expertise on electro-mechanical battery storage systems with an emphasis on the producibility of the overall product. * Develop other junior engineers and employees to improve their abilities and skills. * Support company vision, values, goals, and business plan. * Support the production operator. * Maintain a safe and clean working environment. * Ability to travel 20% of the time. * Adhere to federal and state regulations. * Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures. * Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. * Predictable and reliable attendance. Position Qualifications * Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience. * Minimum of ten (10) years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing facility. * Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory/previous management experience. * Working knowledge of PLC, HMI's, relays, contactors, servos, steppers, low voltage circuits, high voltage circuits, torque drivers, bar code systems, database storage, vision systems, etc. (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Bosch Rexroth, OpCon, Cognex). * Experience with quality management systems. * Strong technical and communication skills. * Working knowledge of machine electrical cabinet layout and machine controls. * Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
