This position serves as the Development and Testing Quality Assurance Lead, supporting the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) in facilitating the Quality Assurance (QA) process and supporting highly complex agency applications. In this position, you will define, analyze, and documenting QA processes to ensure the highest quality standards for application development. In addition, you will test and track systems for optimal usability and efficiency.

Essential Functions

• Under administrative direction, serves as a Development and Testing Quality Assurance Lead for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR), facilitating the Quality Assurance (QA) process and supporting highly complex agency applications.
• Develops processes and procedures to ensure the newly developed application meets quality standards.
• Develops processes and procedures to ensure the IDOR document and payment processing applications and systems meet the quality standard with new development and enhancements.
• Serves as project/team leader on highly complex projects while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data.
• Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
