As a Senior Manager of Gas Plant Operations, you will be responsible for the long-term operation and management of AECI’s gas and fuel oil generating assets, ensuring safety, reliability, environmental compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

What You'll Do:

• Provide strategic leadership to supervisors and plant managers, fostering team development and professional growth.

• Oversee the performance of Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle fleet operations, driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.

• Promote adherence to environmental, health, safety, and NERC compliance standards through advocacy and training.

• Develop, review, and manage annual budgets for capital, operations, and maintenance while optimizing resource allocation.

• Communicate operational updates, maintenance schedules, and foster collaboration between gas plants and internal/external stakeholders.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; OR a minimum of ten years of combustion turbine experience with at least five years in a supervisory/leadership role (Professional registration preferred).

• Proven strategic leadership skills, with experience in leading teams and promoting a culture of collaboration, safety, and improvement.

• Comprehensive knowledge of gas generation systems, including Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle operations, with a focus on optimization and monitoring.

• Strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as NERC compliance.

• Financial acumen with experience in budget development and resource management.

• Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills for engaging with team members, departments, and stakeholders.
