As a Senior Manager of Gas Plant Operations, you will be responsible for the long-term operation and management of AECI’s gas and fuel oil generating assets, ensuring safety, reliability, environmental compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
What You'll Do:
Provide strategic leadership to supervisors and plant managers, fostering team development and professional growth.
Oversee the performance of Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle fleet operations, driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.
Promote adherence to environmental, health, safety, and NERC compliance standards through advocacy and training.
Develop, review, and manage annual budgets for capital, operations, and maintenance while optimizing resource allocation.
Communicate operational updates, maintenance schedules, and foster collaboration between gas plants and internal/external stakeholders.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; OR a minimum of ten years of combustion turbine experience with at least five years in a supervisory/leadership role (Professional registration preferred).
Proven strategic leadership skills, with experience in leading teams and promoting a culture of collaboration, safety, and improvement.
Comprehensive knowledge of gas generation systems, including Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle operations, with a focus on optimization and monitoring.
Strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as NERC compliance.
Financial acumen with experience in budget development and resource management.
Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills for engaging with team members, departments, and stakeholders.
