Responsibilities Technician Will Perform A Variety Of Inspections, Maintenance, and Routine Repair Work On Tractors and Trailers • Address All Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) Write Ups In A Timely and Efficient Manner • Advanced Knowledge Of: Diesel Engines, Engine Accessories, Transmission Systems, Electrical Systems, Cooling Systems, Driveline, Differential, Steering, Suspension, Fuel Systems, Ignition Systems, HVAC Systems, Etc. • Able To Test, Diagnose, and Repair Assets With Little To No Direction and Guidance • Will Perform Preventative Maintenance To Units On A Daily Basis • Advanced Knowledge Of Shop Tools To Include But Not Limited To: Jacks, Jack Stands, Transmission Jacks, Truck Lifts, Pneumatic and Electric Tools, Diagnostic Software, Overhead Hoists, Oxygen / Acetylene Torch, Fork Lifts, Yard Trucks, Etc. • Advanced Knowledge and Experience Of Refrigerated Trailers • Will Have Taken Classes, Be Certified, and Or Have Extensive Training On Air Brakes, A/C Systems, Truck Camera and Electric Log Installation and Use, • Ability To Diagnose and Repair APU’s, Espar Heaters, DEF and Aftertreatment Systems, Steering and Suspension Components • Will Be Involved With The Cleanliness and Safety Of The Shop and Grounds • Must Be A Team Player, Share Knowledge, Be Able To Give Instructions and Guidance To Others / Lend A Hand Or Assist Other Mechanics As Needed Or Instructed • Will Preform Other Related Work As Required • Tech Will Adhere To All Company Safety Policies and Complete All Assigned Safety Refresher Courses On A Quarterly Basis • Bob Evans Transportation Values Safety In The Workplace and Holds All Employees Responsible For A Safe and Healthy Work Environment • Must Have Valid Drivers License Qualifications • High School Diploma Or Equivalent • 3-5 Years’ Diesel Mechanic, Trailer Mechanic, Or Combination Of School and Work Experience • Knowledge Of DOT, OSHA, and EPA Regulations Required
