Summary
A Senior Project Manager at ATS is a key leader in the Information Technology team whose primary responsibility is managing approved and assigned projects to successful completion delivering expected business objectives and outcomes within the agreed upon schedule and cost. Strong team leadership of internal, external, and partner resources is critical. In addition, this role is with continuous improvement of project delivery and quality capabilities for the organization.
Education and Experience
A 4-year degree in information technology, computer science, software development, or a related field, or 4+ years of related field experience.
5+ years of experience in IT Project and/or IT Program Management role.
2+ years of experience leading diverse teams with varied backgrounds, skills and disciplines.
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Business Process Management certifications are a plus.
Experience working in a digital, technology, or data and analytics environment.
Experience in transportation with asset based and/or logistics management is a plus.
Ability to implement and manage performance and expectations within a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
Ability to put sophisticated processes into clear recommendations and use data to generate insights and recommendations.
The ability to move fluidly from big picture to details to break down, organize and deliver sophisticated cross-functional projects, often with tight deadlines.
Must be intuitive, focused, driven, organized, insightful and productive, and be able to multi-task and quickly adjust between initiatives is critical.
Proven ability in standard project management organization, activities, artifacts and communications, and being able to lead process improvement initiatives, manage and implement change, and manage budgets.
Proven ability to build trust across all levels in a company and empower people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships.
Ability to understand complex concepts, resolve problems, and present appropriate solutions and recommendations.
Ability to make reasoned, independent decisions objectively.
Ability to prioritize and facilitate sessions such as planning, meetings, and presentations.
Ability to identify and remove impediments that block the team's ability to meet project objectives.
Experience crafting and analyzing key performance indicators and continually refining and optimizing adoption strategies based on data.
Demonstrated experience in team building and collaboration with business leaders, 3rd parties, and internal staff.
Exceptional computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook. Able to learn company specific programs.
Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).
Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drive business change through management of complex projects and programs that span across multiple divisions, if not the whole company.
Proactively and efficiently perform the day-to-day activities necessary to manage the projects and deliver quality results while being able to flex as needed between supporting and managing the delivery team while also communicating to and managing the expectations of top level ATS leaders.
Align company leadership on project/initiative priorities and development of the scope and requirements of each project/initiative.
Conduct impact analyses and change readiness assessments with stakeholders to examine processes, identify pain points, and address gaps.
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking logs, budget spend, and status reporting as determined by the projects' needs.
Establish and use best practices and playbooks of repeatable processes for how project change should be managed within the team and across the company.
Proactively engage with project teams and business leaders to ensure change leadership behavior modeling is occurring, change enablement activities are being used, and change strategies are integrated from planning to execution.
Monitor, measure, and report on progress of projects/initiatives against agreed upon performance standards.
Own and act as a subject matter expert regarding all projects/initiatives assigned.
Assist in developing activities and training that helps to facilitate change.
Assist in continuous improvement efforts for on-going efficiency and effectiveness within own department and across ATS.
Manage operating budget for projects while balancing meeting organization needs.
Develop strong working relationships with others throughout the entire organization; utilizing partnerships to help each area succeed and maximize ATS results.

Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000. Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
