Our client in the logistics industry is seeking a Operations-Distribution Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, strong planning and organizational skills, and a high degree of initiative and dedication to effect positive change, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Manager of Operations- Distribution Center
Location: St Louis, MO
Pay Range: Based on experience
What's the Job?
Manages for overall facility profitability including safety, productivity, operating expense, Lines Per Hour, quality and resource allocation.
Allocates and manages operation’s resources/roles based on operations and budgetary targets and customer expectations.
Drives positive associate relations built on the 8 Pillars Associate Relations model through utilization of established planning and communication models.
Continuous improvement initiatives.
Drives a high-performance organization through contributing to region strategic direction through tactical implementation of key projects and initiatives in the facility, aligning the culture of the facility to the overall company strategy and structure, supporting local project/teams and making fact-based decisions, interacts with Sales and other functions to resolve customer issues and ensure profitability, manages people, processes, budgets, performance management, compliance activities, and associate development as required by the job, and understands and demonstrates their values.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics preferred
Minimum 5-10 years of job related experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, achieve results and foster strong customer service orientation.
Intermediate computer skills.
