As the Head of Operations for Technology, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and operational excellence within our Technology organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology organization. This position is not just about managing operations; it's about leading a transformative journey that will enhance our digital capabilities and elevate our organization's performance. You will oversee critical functions such as project management, vendor management, finance management, business analysis, and Global Delivery Services, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our stakeholders. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement, making a significant impact on both the IT department and the broader organization
Your day-to-day may include:
Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers. Work with others to negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Oversee the Technology budget, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring expenditures. Ensure financial resources are allocated effectively to support Technology initiatives. Provide regular financial reports and analysis to senior management.
Conduct thorough business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and develop solutions that meet business needs. Ensure alignment between Technology initiatives and business objectives.
Manage the delivery of our Technology services across global delivery centers, ensuring consistency and quality. Develop and implement best practices for service delivery, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics. Monitor and report on service delivery performance.
Lead the implementation of firm-wide processes around strategic planning, prioritization, governance and execution of technology initiatives.
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Advanced or Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of related work experience in IT operations, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and teams.
Certifications in areas such as Project Management
Proficiency in IT systems, infrastructure, and project management tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional leadership, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain outstanding internal and external relationships. Expert at presenting complex financial and other concepts in a straightforward way.
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
Experience managing IT operations in a global context, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with delivering services across multiple locations.
Ability to travel as needed.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $187,500 and $312,500 per year.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Washington, DC, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Newport Beach, CA San Diego, CA, and New York, NY offices only is between $202,500 and $337,500 per year.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $215,600 and $359,400 per year.
