As the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler , you will be responsible to create job plans for executing maintenance work orders. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler manages the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), today includes SAP work orders, Microsoft office documents, and Excel backlog. Duties and responsibilities are carried out with considerable independence within the framework of established policies and procedures. The role involves accountability to goals and decision-making responsibilities. The position requires an individual with strong organizational, analytical, technical and leadership skills; problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills, independent judgement skills, ability to adapt to evolving problems, inter-personal and people management skills. The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler must possess the ability and skills to effectively provide direction, create clear written work plans and instruction, specify and purchase replacement parts (and repairs), maintain paper and electronic equipment files, etc.

Plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities. Provide maintenance input into Production and Engineering activities to ensure optimum results. Investigate maintenance-related problems, analyze root causes and drive resolutions. Assure compliance of proper safety, quality and environmental requirements in work.

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex problems

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization; strong cooperation with Procurement, EHS, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing departments

  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects and demonstrate strong attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills; SAP and Microsoft a plus

  • Flexibility and availability to work weekends and holidays if needed to support department operation

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • High School Diploma or GED. Advanced degree/certification(s) in technical and/or maintenance related discipline a plus.

  • At least five (5) years of maintenance technician experience in a chemical plant, food manufacturing plant, or other related industry. Strong working knowledge of chemical plant equipment (pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation, etc.). Dual Craft technician experience a plus.

  • Experience working in a union environment a plus.

  • Experience as maintenance planner / scheduler a plus.

  • MOC experience a plus

  • Project management skills a plus

  • MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating materials) Inventory Management experience a plus.

Compensation at ICL:

If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).

Salary Range: $74,000 - $102,000

Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
