HDR Engineering Inc Highway EIT/Coordinator in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

HDR currently has an opening for a Highway Engineer-in-Training with 0 to 4 years of experience to join our Highway Team in the St. Louis Park, MN office. Our team focuses on geometric design, alternatives analysis, and final design for a variety of types of projects including City, County and Department of Transportation (DOT) projects. Primary Responsibilities Work as a key member of the Highway Team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects Assimilate and manage data Provide transportation design services for transit, highway, state agencies, cities and counties Prepare the following roadway/highway design elements using local agency or AASHTO design standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, 3D modeling, roadway cross sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, and roadway drainage Work with a team in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for projects of various sizes and complexities Manage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the other team members, write reports and technical memos, and organize project tasks in support of senior staff Perform other duties as needed #LI-LA1 Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarityand demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software suchas Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
