The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate materials relevant to registration and registration renewal applications submitted by postsecondary educational institutions and programs under the Minnesota Private and Out-of-State Public Postsecondary Education Act for degree-granting institutions and the Private Career School Act for non-degree-granting institutions. This position will ensure compliance with the curriculum and programmatic regulatory aspects of regulated institutions, and to collaborate in the design and implementation of monitoring and approval procedures of the postsecondary academic programs of private postsecondary institutions. The incumbent will also coordinate data and investigate student complaints against institutions under the Office's statutory jurisdiction and authority.
Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of experience evaluating or monitoring postsecondary academic programs. A degree is not required, having any of the degrees below will count toward the necessary months of experience:
A PhD may substitute for two (2) years of experience
A Master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience
Knowledge of higher education curriculum
Knowledge of design and implementation of application procedures and processes
Experience with investigating student complaints against higher education institutions
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of the legislative and administrative processes
Strong oral communication skills to interact with various audiences
Experience in writing clear and concise reports
Strong skills in time management, prioritization of duties, and project management
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds
Physical Requirements
Ability to position self and move sufficiently to perform repetitive tasks.
Maintain a stationary position for long periods of time.
Ability to carry up to 20 pounds of weight on an infrequent basis.
