This position joins a dynamic and agile Human Resources Team comprised of 24 talented Labor Relations, Safety, Recruitment, Staffing, HRIS, Transactions, and Learning and Development professionals.
The Learning and Development Leadership Program Specialist position will provide support for MNIT's new LEADER initiative. The position is part of a team of four that will specialize in providing support and coordination for the LEADER program. Responsibilities will include managing vendor relationships, learning management systems, program logistics and coordination, tracking and reporting, and communications related to the program. We are seeking someone who enjoys providing customer centric support, as well as coordination, accurate tracking, reporting and data analysis.
This position requires an employee to be onsite at the work location once a month:
Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Only candidates located in Minnesota and bordering states (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) are telework eligible.
This position is temporary and includes full state fringe benefits; it is anticipated to last one year.
Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of one (1) year of professional experience supporting learning and development OR two (2) years of para-professional learning and development program support experience.
Experience must include:
Customer service
Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office Suite products or similar (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)
Use of a learning management system (LMS) or reporting software (e.g. BI, Access)
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Development, Data Analysis, Organizational Development, Instructional Design or a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resource Development, Data Analysis, Organizational Development, Instructional Design or a related field.
Experience coordinating organizational wide training or leadership programs.
Experience with e-learning and virtual training.
Experience developing user-friendly and accessible materials.
Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data.
