Job Summary About the Paid Leave Division: Paid Leave is a new program launching in 2026. The program will provide partial wage replacement to Minnesota workers who are out of work due to a qualifying condition, such as a severe health condition that prevents them from working, or when they need time to care for a family member or a new child. We are building a program that will be easy for every Minnesotan to use. We are engaging the people who depend on us-workers, employers, caregivers, and insurers-to learn from them and build the program around their needs. Position Purpose: The Senior Manager of Claims Administration plays a critical role in our organization by providing strategic leadership and oversight to adjudicate all submitted Paid Leave claim applications (140-170k applications expected annually). As the incumbent, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the application queue and process, ensuring high-quality adjudication and optimizing team performance. In 2025, you will be responsible to lead the development of the adjudication capabilities including building the systems and processes from the ground up and hiring/training the staff to adjudicate claims efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: Drive the creation of adjudication capabilities: We re a start-up within state government; you will lead the development of the claims administration team, processes, training plan, and knowledge required to deliver the Paid Leave benefit to Minnesotans. Staff and lead a high-performing team: Provide leadership, motivation, and internal growth opportunities to a team of 60-80 employees that consistently meet or exceed service level agreements. Visibility and continuous improvement: Direct the development of operational dashboards to monitor performance and identify trends.
