YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg Private or Group Swim Lesson Instructor, Jim and Heather Gills Branch in St Petersburg, Florida
Must have the following in order to apply:
- No minimum education required
- Minimum of One (1) year of experience
- Must be 16 years of age
- Able to work a flexible schedule and extended hours, as needed
- Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and swim lesson instructor certifications are a plus
Required Screenings:
Drug Testing/Screening (10-Panel Drug screen) and Fingerprint Level II Check; Credit Checks. Drug Free Workplace.
Job Description:
The organization is the nation's largest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes.
Part-time position instructing students in swimming and/or exercise fundamentals. Ensures proper techniques and use of equipment while providing a safe environment for learning. We teach classes ranging from Parent/Child through Adult.
