Job Title: HVAC Helper

Job Description

We are a full-service HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractor based in State College, Pennsylvania. We offer a wide range of services, including residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing repairs, maintenance, and electrical services. Our team of licensed and certified technicians is dedicated to providing high-quality and efficient solutions for home and business comfort needs. We are looking to bring on an HVAC Helper to join our residential team in State College, PA. This individual will be responsible for working alongside a lead in new townhomes being built throughout State College.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of HVAC systems in newly constructed homes.

  • Support HVAC technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on residential HVAC systems.

  • Handle basic tasks such as cutting and threading pipes, assembling and installing ductwork, and connecting electrical wiring.

  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.

  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes and regulations.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project completion on time and within budget.

Essential Skills

  • 1 year of HVAC experience (can be fresh out of tech school).

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

  • Own tools for residential HVAC work.

  • Experience with duct work and blueprint reading.

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and installation procedures.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the HVAC industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with construction, installation, and sheet metal.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of State College, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00
