As a Ford Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in servicing and repairing Ford diesel vehicles to the highest standards. From routine maintenance to complex diagnostics and repairs, you will utilize your expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for swiftly and accurately performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.

  • Diagnose cause of malfunction.

  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.

  • Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.

  • Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures.

  • Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools.

  • Training

  • Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.

  • Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with a focus on Ford vehicles

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • ASE certification is a plus

  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence ​
