Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients’ data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. You will work with state-of-the-art open source and proprietary tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment approaches. You will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live. You are a senior technical leader with proven track record of leading data science teams involved in production delivery of AI systems.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and deployment of Generative AI solutions in production environments.

2. Collaborate with senior business and IT stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights.

3. Manage and mentor data science teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.

4. Contribute to the sales process by demonstrating the value of Generative AI solutions to potential clients.

5. Utilize Azure OpenAI and other AI cloud computing platform services (AWS, Google Cloud) to build and optimize Generative AI solutions.

6. Conduct data-driven discovery activities to identify new opportunities for AI applications.

7. Evaluate the performance and impact of Generative AI solutions using appropriate techniques such as RAGAS and communicating the results to technical and non-technical audiences.

8. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to improve our solutions.

9. Provide technical leadership in an agile, collaborative environment, directing the work of other scientists, engineers, consultants and specialists of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the data-drive application development.

Required technical and professional expertise

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

· At least 8 years of experience leading data science teams successfully in analysis and delivery work.

· You have a strong understanding of the core data science algorithms, statistics fundamentals, NLP techniques and generative AI. You have a demonstrated expertise of data manipulation, data mining and a variety of supervised and/or unsupervised modeling techniques.

· You're proficient in the use of Python for data science, and additional programming languages or other data science tools, such as big data processing frameworks.

· You have a solid knowledge of one or more cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS

· You have strong technical and analytical abilities, a knack for driving impact and growth.

· You're comfortable with hands on problem solving by looking at things differently, debugging, troubleshooting, and designing & implementing solutions to complex technical issues

· You are able to communicate with a wide range of audience in both English and Swedish

· Excellent communication and leadership skills and you thrive on teamwork leading multicultural globally distributed teams.

Preferred technical and professional experience

· Industry experience such as consumer products is a plus
