Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment according to established schedules. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Repair and replace faulty components, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic parts. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Collaborate with production operators and other technicians to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. May be required to work overtime or on weekends as needed. Must have your own tools.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with specific types of manufacturing equipment (e.g., CNC machines, packaging equipment, robotics).

  • Knowledge of PLC programming or other automation systems.

  • Formal training in maintenance and repair techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Assist production with equipment operational help as needed.

  • Move forward on a repair or project without always having direct supervision.

  • Apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of issues.

  • Consult with personnel from other departments to determine issues and repair and maintain their equipment and systems.

  • Utilizing welding skills to repair or adjust pipes and equipment.

  • Must excel in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

You will work Wednesday through Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm. The role requires a fast-paced environment and you must have your own tools. Safety is a top priority, and you will need to follow all safety procedures and regulations. The work involves regular interaction with production operators and other technicians to ensure smooth operations. Dress code and attire are aligned with safety requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
