Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

What your tasks will be

• Participate in the design of new and adaptation of existing products in international design groups

• Work closely with development and product engineers to implement new products into the manufacturing process

• Participate in the full product development cycle

• Implementation and presentation of own ideas

• Developing prototypes

• Supporting other departments in collaborative projects

Our Expectations

• Higher education, preferred majors: Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and related fields

• +3 years of experience in a respective field

• Knowledge of one of the leading 3D CAD environments (PTC Creo preferred)

• Knowledge of the principles of preparing technical documentation

• Basic knowledge of sheet metal forming and plastic parts injection molding process

• Communicative knowledge of the English language

• Ability to think analytically

• Conceptual sketching skills will be an added advantage
